Connect Google Drive (creative folder)

Dinero pulls all images and videos for your ads from a Google Drive folder you control. Swap out assets anytime — Dinero picks them up on the next ad cycle.

Why Drive?

Dinero never uses product photos from your Shopify store in ads — store photos are rarely made for ad formats and convert poorly. Instead, Dinero builds your ads from material you place in a Drive folder yourself (lifestyle photos, UGC, creator clips, etc.).

Step 1 — Create the folder

  1. Go to drive.google.com.
  2. Click + New → Folder and name it something clear, e.g. "Dinero Creative".

Step 2 — Upload images and videos

Drag the files into the folder. Follow these rules so Dinero can match the right material to the right product:

Step 3 — Share the folder with "Anyone with the link"

  1. Right-click the folder in Drive → Share → Share.
  2. Under General access, switch from Restricted to Anyone with the link.
  3. Role: Viewer (Dinero only needs to read — not edit).
  4. Click Copy link. The link looks like this: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ABCxyz…

Why "Anyone with the link"? Dinero reads via the link — we don't request login to your Google account. The link works as an access key. No one without the link can access the folder.

Step 4 — Paste the link into Dinero

  1. Go to app.dinero.agency/login and log in.
  2. Open Integrations → Google Drive.
  3. Paste the full Drive link.
  4. Click Save. The badge turns green "✓ Active" once Dinero finds at least one file in the folder.

Updating material later

When you want to add or swap material — just upload new files to the same Drive folder. Dinero re-syncs the folder before every new ad cycle (every 4 hours). You don't need to do anything else.

Common issues

  1. Badge doesn't turn green: check that the folder is shared with "Anyone with the link" — not "Restricted". The most common mistake.
  2. Dinero finds files but doesn't match the right product: the filename must contain the product name as it appears in Shopify. E.g. a product called "Faye Dress" matches faye.jpg or faye dress 2.mp4 — but not dress1.jpg.
  3. "File too large": max 200 MB per file. Compress the video (e.g. via HandBrake) and re-upload.
  4. Dinero is using old files: the folder syncs every 4 hours. Wait until the next ad cycle, or delete the old files entirely if you never want them used again.
